Park at Glen Doll visitors centre (£3 parking fee). Easy track through former forest, passing track to Loch Muick via Capel Mounth. After bridge over the South Esk water, track bends and adds gradual but significant height to trees at junction of path to Loch Esk. Return by similar route. Please bring a packed lunch. This walk can be done in any conditions as there is no significant risk if weather conditions are adverse. Plenty car parking spaces with toilet facilities on site.
