Overview

This is a longish and popular hillwalk taking in three Ochils 2000 foot summits, two of them being Donalds. Starting at the Woodland Trust Glen Sherup car park, just off the A823 Glendevon road, the route takes us on a gentle ascent through coniferous forest before arriving on the open ridge after a short, steep section. The delightful ascent continues steadily to the summit of Innerdownie, with a long section of high, grassy ridge over Whitewisp and Tarmangie Hills. There are breathtaking and extensive views in all directions on this marvellous stravaig at around 2000 feet. After a steepish descent, the walk turns back east along the slowly descending ridge over Scad Hill and Mailer's Knowe towards Ben Shee, which can be climbed on the descent to Glendevon.
