We go SE alongside Errwood reservoir before turning off right to climb up and around the grounds of Errwood hall. We then climb up to Stake Side via Shooter’s Clough and then to the top of the hill. It then drops down over Stake Clough and Deep Clough to join the road up to Derbyshire Bridge car park (toilet stop). From there we loop to the South before heading up and along Burbage edge and then down the track through Wild Moor and the path alongside Errwood reservoir as far as the Sailing club. Then around Bunsal cob before traversing between the two reservoirs back to the cars.
Mainly moderate but at times strenuous.
Walkers from other groups are always welcome, as are non-members wanting to sample walking with our friendly group of ramblers. Non-members are allowed up to three sampler walks with rambler groups before they would be expected to join the ramblers.
Notice at Derbyshire Bridge seen on recce 16-2-24: "Toilets closed due to damaged door - we will try to open these as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience."
