Overview

We will park the coach by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre just off the high street. Working today could be along the River Wharfe and Linton Falls, or up onto the moors. Whilst the village of Linton is worth a walk around. Wherever you go there are lots of pubs and cafes to visit on your return.

Three walks will be available, with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.

A Walk Leader - Dave Trembath - 11.5 miles with a total ascent of 1,700ft. Heading north from Grassington to join the Dales Way and make the gradual ascent to the moors. We then come down to the village of Conistone before making our way back through Grass Wood and along the River Wharfe.

B Walk Leader - Claine Brennan - 9.5 miles with 1,000ft of ascent. A combination of tracks, fields and moorland paths up to Hebden Beck make up the first part of this walk. We continue down Hebden Gill to the village of Hebden, on to Burnsall and return along the River Wharfe back to Grassington.

C Walk Leader - Dave Eccles - 7 miles with a high point of 860ft. A gradual ascent from the start up to our lunch break within the forest. Then its a steady decent as we head towards the River Wharfe, which we follow all the way back to the outskirts of Grassington. Then up Sedber Lane into the coach park.
