Overview

The Great Chalk Wood and Elvendon Valley. A classic early autumn walk north from Goring, up into the beech woods above the Goring Gap, returning via the scenic Elvendon Valley. 577 feet of ascent. Walkers are asked to assemble outside the Catherine Wheel pub in Station Road, Goring. If arriving by train this is a short distance from Goring and Streatley station. If arriving by car, park in Wheel Orchard Car Park (Pay and display - pounds 5) or in nearby Manor Road.
