Overview

Join me for my comeback walk (nobody else appears to have taken the spot when I wanted to start walking again).  Another chance to walk from the Green of Green St Green, Sevenoaks Road via Chelsfield Station, Pratts Bottom and The Washneys to Knockholt Pound for lunch at the Three Horseshoes or picnic on the green opposite.  (Please do not eat your own picnic in the pub garden.)  Return via New Years Wood and Snag Farm, Snag Lane and Green Street Green High Street

The pace will be gentle but, as we will be walking on the Downs there will be undulations!  There is some road walking but mainly across green fields and woods and a golf course.

The Green is served by a number of buses, including the 358 (which starts at Crystal Palace and meanders through Bromley Borough to Orpington Station), R5, R8 and R11. If you come by car you should find a space in Shire Lane opposite Old Warren Lane, off Sevenoaks Road. Please note this is separate from the main part of Shire Lane. It is East of the A21 and is only accessible from Sevenoaks Road (see Map). There is also parking in the nearby residential roads but please, not on Crescent Way.
