This circular walk will start from the Twisted Spoon Cafe car park in Upton Snodsbury. From there we head north through fields and woodland to Huddington Court and Church (where we plan to have our mid morning break). There are a few stiles and the paths may be muddy after the recent rain. We cross the A422 twice and there are two short sections on quite country lanes. The walk is relatively flat with no steep ascents.
Huddington Court is famous for being the home of Thomas and Robert Wintour, two of the 13 main Gunpowder Plot conspirators. After Guy Fawkes was caught in the Houses of Parliament the other plotters escaped to Huddington arriving at about 2pm on 6 November 1605. We'll arrive a couple of hours earlier, but 420 years later!
