We are the Richmond Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An autumn walk along the River Thames from Kingston Bridge via Hampton Court, passing the beautiful Palace and gardens and into Bushy Park with its view of the Diana Fountain and Chestnut Avenue. You can either do the whole walk or one of the following shorter options:
Option 1: Join the walk from Hampton Wick to Hampton Court and then take 111 (Heathrow Airport) or 216 (Staines) bus from Hampton Court to Hampton Station and walk over the railway bridge. The hub is situated on the opposite side of the road to the right.
Option 2: Join at the Palace side of Hampton Court bridge (11:35 approx) to walk through the park, exiting to historic Hampton village, passing Garrick House and villa and St Mary’s church.
MEET: Hampton Wick Station (via Richmond, Waterloo 09:30, Clapham Junction 09:40, Richmond 09:58 or Waterloo 09:57, Clapham Jct 10:06, Kingston 10:28). Buses 285, 281 stop outside the Station.
