Overview

A lovely circular walk from Long Hanborough taking in a couple of other West Oxfordshire villages, ancient woodland and the river Evenlode. Please note that the route may have to be changed on the day if there is flooding.

We will start the walk promptly at 10.00 so please arrive in good time.

This is a winter walk so please wear suitable clothes and footwear - there will be a lot of mud, some very wet fields and also some clambering over fallen trees.  Poles may be useful.

Remember to bring all the food and drinks you require for the day.

Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be on the lead at all times.

We will meet and start the walk from Hanborough train station car park. If you are coming by car, please park in the large car park which is signposted from the road between the Daffodil Nursery and the Mini garage (not in the few spaces either side of the road down to the platform). The meeting point is also accessible by public transport - trains from Oxford and No. 7 bus between Oxford and Witney via Hanborough.
