From the garden centre we walk across a field to a quiet road followed by a footpath that leads to The River Thames. We follow the river for a short distance and then across fields and before reaching another quiet road we will visit St John the Baptist Church A 13C church with wall paintings. Preceding through a farm and more fields we reach St John's Lock and have our refreshment break. We then continue along a footpath to Lechlade and then once more join the River Thames which we follow before we rejoin the original path at the start of our walk for a mile back to the garden centre where there is the opportunity to have some refreshment and also to do some Christmas shopping. No hills and four stiles.
