A 10 mile moderate to brisk paced walk over undulating terrain.
Route: A coastal walk starting at Hastings along the cliffs to Fairlight and to Pett Level. Thereafter fairly flat terrain to Winchelsea. At this time of year there is a slight possibility that a section of the end of the walk will be after civil twilight (sunset: 17:01, civil twilight: 17:36). Please bring a torch. Option to extend the walk to Rye, plus 2 miles.
Drop out points: Taxi from pub after 5 miles, infrequent 101 bus from Pett Level after 7 miles.
Food: Pub lunch at The Cove, Waites Lane, Fairlight, TN35 4AX - this pub is fairly popular, so they may be unable to provide lunch - advise bringing a snack/picnic.
Travel: 9:15 Charing Cross, calling at Waterloo East 9:18, London Bridge 9:24, and arriving Hastings 10:47. Buy a CDR to Winchelsea (or Rye if you wish to extend the walk to there).
A joint walk with the Hampstead and Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Groups.
Meet at Hastings Railway Station at 10.47.
Finish at Winchelsea Railway Station (unless taking the optional walk extension to Rye).
