Overview

A moderate 8 mile walk which starts by following the part of the Geo trail around Haughmond Hill to visit the main viewpoints with lovely views. There are no steep climbs just gentle undulations. The second part of the walk passes by Sundorne and Haughmond Abbey crossing through woodland and fields.

Getting there:
Take M54 / A5 towards Shrewsbury until it meets A49 (roundabout with traffic lights). Take A49 north to first roundabout and take 3rd exit B5062 signed Newport. After 1.4 miles turn right onto a minor road and look for Forestry England sign to car park on right which is just after entrance to quarry.

Meet in front of cafe by Forestry England car park. There are a number of parking bays and there is a charge which you pay by machine using a debit card or RingGo app.
