Overview

A short walk, with a brief (upward) incline and a couple of stiles.

We set off on the Haydon Way Wood trail then leave the wood to follow the River Arrow south for a view (through the trees) of Coughton Court.  This path was bone dry at the time of writing, but may well be muddy by late October!

Keeping our eyes open for friendly Highland Cattle (on the other side of a fence) we then climb a short ascent heading for Middle Spernal Farm, and then past Parson's Spinney, and through  woodland, then a corn field towards Lower Spernal Farm.

We cross the River Arrow to get back to the Haydon Way Wood trail and back to the Car Park.

Park at Haydon Wood Car Park, off Spernal Lane. (A £2 donation per car in their honesty box is suggested) Now, this car park is not huge - and it is popular with local dog walkers - so please consider car sharing. That said, you can also park in Spernal Lane if push comes to shove.
