Canals, rivers, lakes, country parks, farm land, woods are all included on this varied linear walk of appx. 11 miles. Starting from the foyer of Hayes and Harlington railway station which is well connected not only by Elizabeth line and GWR trains but also by buses including the SL9 limited stop bus from Harrow on the Hill Bus Station the route meanders its way along canal and country paths to reach the finish at Langley station from where Elizabeth line trains can be caught back to Hayes or beyond. The journey is included in the Freedom Pass for those who have them. For those who don't, a ticket will need to be purchased.
Please bring a picnic lunch.
Both Hayes and Harlington and Langley stations do have toilets. The Waters Edge public house and restaurant also has facilities and is located close to where we will stop for our lunch.
