We are the Pembrokeshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 13 mile walk between Pontarddulais and Llanelli, a relatively level walk over varied terrain, with some mud during the first 6 miles. Second part of the walk is a shared path with the welsh coastpath trail and is firm underfoot. I would suggest meeting up at Llanelli bus station 09.20, to catch the 09.40 bus to Pontarddu[ais. Car park adjacent to the bus terminal is for 4 hours only. The recommended car park is Thomas /Edgar street car park at £1.90 per day, 5 minutes walk from bus station. Walking commences at 10.20 from pontaddulais bus station, or when bus arrives, which ever is latest. This walk is section 16 of The Heart of Wales Line Trail.
The walk consists of some road walking, pathways,and tracks over farmland. the views include a railway viaduct some 200 meters long, plus excellent estuary and seascapes as the walk progresses. The documented walk finishes at Llanelli rail station, from here we have a 20 minute walk returning to car park
