Manchester Weekend Walkers lead public transport walks into fantastic countryside all year round.
The walk takes us across wide open moorland up to Musden Head Moor, along the Rosendale Way and Holcombe Moor, past Pilgrims Cross to Peel Tower and then dropping down to Ramsbottom.
We walk on moorland paths, paths and metalled roads. Expect mud and some waterlogged areas.
Please bring a torch, as we may lose light towards the end of the walk.

Transport to Walk Start: X41 bus at 09:10 from Manchester Chorlton Street Coach Station (final destination Accrington).
Meet Point: At Manchester Chorlton Street Coach Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the bus.
Suggested Ticket: £2 for each bus journey
Waypoints: Musden Head Moor, Rossendale Way, Holcombe Moor, Pilgrim's Cross, Peel Tower.
Walk Start: Sports Centre on Helmshore Road, Helmshore at 10:10
Return Services: From Ramsbottom: X41 bus at x:16/17 until 22:17
Extra: Drivers can park in Ramsbottom and join us on the bus when it stops in the Market Place at 09:55. Toilets at Chorlton Street Coach Station. No toilets on the bus, at walk start or en route.
