Overview

This is a 6 mile circuit, starting from Hidcote car park, walking is on good footpaths and quiet lanes and includes a short walk along the edge of the vale of Evesham. We will cross fields with great views and pass through some patches of woodland. We will complete a circuit of the beautiful village of Ilmington and stop here for a snack break. After a steep climb out of the village there should be views across to the Welsh mountains.

When you drive into the car park please turn left and park this side. Parking is free, but please note that the Hidcote website recommends you book a car parking space in advance. To quote " If you're planning a trip to Hidcote before 1pm, you can pre-book a car parking space in advance for a stress-free experience. At quieter times, if we're not fully booked, you may be able to access Hidcote without a car booking on the day. However, entry is not guaranteed." Our (Ramblers) experience is that there is no entrance barrier and that at 10:00 on a weekday morning the car par is usually nearly empty so it is extremely unlikely you would be refused entry. However, if you want peace of mind you can book by ringing 0344 249 1895.
