Discover the hidden dale of Coverdale A Circular walk starting in Carlton in Coverdale the heading up to the village of West Scrafton (after a rather steep climb) and then heading up after a bit more of a climb to Swineside head and heading across Undulating moorland &farm tracks, a few streams to cross,some will be rather fast flowing,but ok to cross with care, before heading down to Arkleside via farm tracks ,& back along field paths to Carlton in Coverdale via the charming villageof Gammersgill,
Total ascent of 500ft and a few stiles on th return journey to Carlton
