We are the Wakefield and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
High Ackworth to Nostell Priory 8.3 mile circular. This moderate walk entails passing through fields where farm animals are kept. There are four stiles and the walk involves a moderate climb.
Toilets en route plus at the end at the Brown Cow pub where we have the option of purchasing a drink in gratitude for using their parking facilities.
Please note we will have a short refreshment stop in the morning and an al fresco lunch at Nostell Priory (free access to the parkland) where there are toilets plus a cafe to top up supplies if necessary.
