We are the Mid Sussex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Ashdown Forest this walk starts from Hollies car park just up the road from Duddleswell.
The walk on the Forest includes the local features; Friends Clump, Camp Hill, Nutley Windmill and The Airman’s Grave.
More information about the Ashdown can be found at Ashdown Visitor Centre near Wychcross.
The walk should provide views across the AONB providing the weather allows.
This walk will be part of the HWWF.
Please bring a drink and a snack
There is not a cafe or pub on the walking route but maybe found within a short distance of the finish.
Please note Ashdown Forest parking charges apply.Payment May be made using an app or by phone. Realistically it will take us more than a couple of hours to complete the walk so you will need to pay for 4hours.The second photo shows these charges .
You may already have an annual permit.
If you bring a dog there may be cattle grazing on the forest so please ensure they are on a lead when necessary. We also need to cross a couple of roads.
