Hoghton

We make our way up to Dixon Hill, passing the Parish Church, dropping down across the fields to pass through Hatch Wood to the site of an ancient cross near the Chapel for Brindle Lodge. Leaving Brindle Lodge grounds we cut across the fields to pick up Cripple Gate Lane Bridleway which leads to Gib Lane. Off Gib Lane is another path across the fields leading to Chapel Lane, having passed Blanket Hall.
