Overview

A circular walk in the Hoghton Tower Estate going down to the River Darwen gorge and walking upstream, passing the weir before coming out of the valley to Riley Green were facilities are available. Returning back to the start point across the fields with good views of the imposing Hoghton Tower at the top of the hill.
