Overview

The walk begins along Pendle Water to Quaker Bridge. On good paths it then climbs past Old Laund Hall to Wheatley where we will have a break in the churchyard. We continue to climb to the ridge above Pendle Valley, stopping for lunch en route. we continue to Spen Height then begin the descent via Fence to the Pendle Way which we follow to New in Pendle Bridge.

The paths are mainly good, though some are a bit overgrown. There are stiles and flying staircases, The first half of the walk is a steady uphill, then down after lunch.
