Overview

A strenuous open moorland walk from Holming Beam. Beardown tors, Lydford tor, Devil's tor, Beardown Man standing stone, Conies down tor, Lych way prison leat and Black Dunghill.

This is a typical Dartmoor walk, with tussocks, boggy ground some stream crossings and stiles. Most of the walk is on moorland tracks, and we'll have some great views.

This is an area we don't often walk,  as it's in the Merrivale firing area.
