A varied walk with a longer morning via Honey Hill, with a slight diversion to the view point, then down to Elkington and following the canal, with only a short length of towpath. Then up the Hemplow Hills and on to Welford, skirting west of the village, across the Welford/Sulby reservoirs and on to Sibbertoft for lunch. The return to Cold Ashby in the afternoon is by a more direct route.
The lunch stop will be at the Red Lion in Sibbertoft where it is okay to eat our own food if buying a drink.
