Overview

An anti-clockwise circular walk from The George, taking a footpath through a housing estate and crossing the by-pass to the Country Park. Leaving the Country Park, the walk will head towards Merry Tom Lane from which superb views of the Brampton Valley and beyond can be enjoyed. The walk will join the Brampton Valley Way for a couple of miles before heading back to Brixworth across fields.

The walk is mainly along hard surfaces and well defined paths apart from the final mile where three stiles are encountered as the walk passes through or alongside three fields. There is a gentle slope down to the Brampton Valley Way and a short steeper climb across a field towards the end.

Please park in the car park of The George only if you staying for lunch or drinks after the walk. Lunch can be pre-ordered.
