Overview

The walk follows ancient bridleways past a former race course, over fields where once horses would have been a familiar sight in the agricultural landscape, and on to a Roman staging post. We return along the tow path of an old canal following in the footsteps of the horses who pulled the barges. An easy, flat walk with a few stories 'straight from the horse's mouth'.
