This mildly undulating 5 mile walk heads away from the village, initially following the path of the Ebor Way. We pass through woodland 🌳 and across open farmland, where there was a field containing cows, calves and a bull on the recce. The route also sees us walking a short distance on a minor road twice, which will have passing traffic.
The walk will be followed by our Annual Meeting (see separate event for details). Upon our return to Hovingham, you will have time to eat your packed lunch at the village hall before the start of the meeting.
🅿️ Parking at the village hall (honesty box payment) or on-street around the village
🚻 Toilets in the village hall will be available at the end of the walk (but not at the start)
🐶 Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be kept on a lead at all times, but please be aware that we will be some road walking and we will be going through fields where there may be cows with calves and bulls. Sorry but dogs can not come to the Annual Meeting afterwards
🥪 You may want to bring a packed lunch or allow enough time to buy something from the village bakery before the walk
🥾 This walk has the potential to be muddy, please wear walking boots and appropriate clothing
