Overview

The coach picks up first at Newton Heath at 8.30 am.  It then travels to Chorlton Street where it will leave at 8.50 am prompt, with further pick ups in Sedgley Park at 09.10 and Prestwich at 09.15.   (NB: Timings  for pick-up points are approximate - please be at the pick-up point in good time)

Three led walks: 

 

Long Walk 12 miles - Leader: Steve S  
Linear from Skipton - Skipton, Addingham, Addingham High Moor, Swastika Stone, Ilkley.

 

Medium Walk (Moderate) 7 miles - Leader: Don

Ilkley circular - Ilkley Crags, Cup Marked Rock, Badger Stone, Grainings Head, Keighley Road, Cowpers Cross, Whetstone Gate, Wireless Station, Stanza Stones, Trig Point, White Crag Moss, Twelve Apostles, Dales Highway

The first hour is a climb up to Ilkley Crags which is rewarded with magnificent views. Thereafter it is a circular walk on Ilkley Moor. Elevation 1200 ft. 

 

Short Walk 6 miles - Leader: Ian

Ilkley circular - West along the Dales Way to Hallcroft Hall, across the suspension bridge to West Hall, to Low Austby through Owl Park and into Ilkley 300 feet ascent. 

 

The coach will leave Ilkley at 5.30 p.m.

The ground may be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a change of shoes, boot covers or something to clean your boots before getting back on the coach.

The coach starts in Newton Heath at the bus stop on Oldham Rd, close to the junction of Dean Lane and Old Church St, near Newton Heath Health Centre For those joining in the city centre, the coach will be parked on Chorlton Street, opposite the coach station, on the pavement side of the Britannia Hotel.
