This gentle, scenic walk is perfect if you’re easing back into hiking after Christmas or simply want a relaxed taste of the Chilterns. We aim to make things easy if you're new to walking in the countryside. This introductory route is ideal for first‑timers and gives you the chance to ask questions about the group. Existing members are always welcome too and help make potential new walkers feel at home.

Expect rolling hills, charming villages, and plenty of fresh air in a friendly, no‑pressure environment where you can enjoy some exercise, see the countryside, and have a chat along the way.

Start & Finish:
Lane End – with toilet facilities available at both the start and end.

Highlights:

Sweeping Chiltern views and gentle rolling hills

Passing through the pretty village of Fingest

A well‑earned pub stop at the end

Important Notes:

Some paths may be muddy, so sturdy footwear is recommended.

Bring water and any snacks you might want (no lunch stop as this is a shorter walk).

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times for the comfort of the group.

We’re Looking Forward to Seeing You:
Whether it's your first walk with us or you're a regular, we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone and enjoying the fresh air together. It’s a great way to start the year, meet new people, and make the most of the beautiful countryside.
