Condense cars and drive 28 miles to Dufftown, parking at the Isla Way carpark, Walk to the nearby station for the Whisky Line train which leaves at 10.30. The fare to Drummuir is £5.00, but we can get a discount if we are more than 10 people. Take the train to Drummuir station (20 mins) and then walk on the Isla Way through wood land, visiting the walled garden, to Loch Park for an early lunch. Then the route climbs through forest on a good track to a open viewpoint before descending, with amazing views, back to Dufftown, finishing along part of the old railway track.
Please book your place on this walk with the walk leader at the latest by Thursday 28 August, so we can notify the railway of numbers travelling. A donation of £5 is recommended when sharing transport and you will need £5 for the train fare. Coffee/tea is available at the adjacent Sidings Cafe before and after the walk.
