This is a joint walk between the two groups 'Hike Oxfordshire' and 'Oxon Weekend Walkers' and also meeting up with other Oxfordshire groups at lunchtime.
Starting from Oxfords Thornhill Park and Ride, meet from 10.15 for a 10.30 start.
Oxon WW will lead the first half of the walk and we start the morning walk by visiting (what I call) “The Woods of Narnia” AKA The C S Lewis nature reserve. See
https://www.bbowt.org.uk/nature-reserves/cs-lewis-nature-reserve
The reserve is located behind the house where Lewis wrote ‘The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” and other Narnia adventures.
From there we take a circuitous 5 ish mile walk up to and around Shotover Country Park, before picnicking (bring your own picnic) with other Oxfordshire groups.
After lunch 'Hike Oxfordshire' will lead us on a further 6 ish mile walk around Shotover before returning to the Park and Ride at Thornhill.

At lunchtime we will join with 8 other Oxfordshire groups for the annual 'Area picnic'
at the top of Shotover Park.
Please bring your own picnic lunch, it will be lots of fun and a great opportunity to meet Ramblers from other groups and share experiences.
Sorry, dogs are not allowed on this walk.
