Overview

The walk proceeds SE from the car park via an easy ,pleasant moorland path, with dramatic views of Jugger Howe valley before reaching a bridge over Jugger Howe Beck. Follows peaceful and relaxing beck for about a mile before climbing out of valley and then generally climbs, via pasture, towards Brown Hill and then open moorland. If time permits, we will go to Lilla Cross for views across Fylingdales. Then follow Lyke Wake Walk path, with views across to coast back to start, descending steeply to Jugger Howe Beck and then up the steep ascent on the other side of the Beck back to car park

Walking pole(s) advised, particularly if wet.

Car park ( free ) on A171 ( Scarborough to Whitby ) about a mile before the Flask Inn when travelling from Scarborough, on LHS of road. We'll put out a marker person by the side of the road to indicate the car park, which can otherwise be easily missed ( on the other side of the road, there is a wooden stile/structure)
