Parking near the Horseshoe pub, today we are within easy reach of the Kingfisher Trail, the Irwell Sculpture Trail and the Rotary Way. So there are varied and interesting walks to be had, including a section of the now disused Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal towpath. All walks today start and end at the Horseshoe Pub, and head south using parts of the old railway line trackbed. The Irwell Sculpture Trail and The Kingfisher Way.
A Walk Leader - Derek Cook - 9.5 miles, very similar to todays B Walk, just that little bit longer, and starting with a short steep climb up to Cinder Hill, and with one extra bridge to cross.
B Walk Leader - Chris Grayson - 8 miles with little uphill, and taking in the Irwell Sculpture Trail, Prestwich Forest Park. Returning viaClifton Country Park and the Rotary Way.
C Walk Leader - Pam Ashton An easy 6 miles heading south to view the 13 Arch Bridge, then returning through Clifton Country Park and along the Kingfisher Trail.
