Overview

This is a figure of eight circular walk around the park and gardens of kedleston Hall. The first part is around 4 miles with the second around 3 miles. It is a picturesque Autumn walk which offers  views of the gardens and the back of the Hall, while giving a good perspective of the size of Kedleston Park.

It's a fairly level walk on good woodland paths and well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome. The "cross over" between the two walks is at the Hall. 

Parking and Entry to the park is free for National Trust members. HOWEVER - the Trust no longer charge for parking but rather they charge for entry to the Park on a per person basis and the current cost is £8.00 per head.

From Nottingham, head to the Junction of the A52/A38, follow A38 (north). First exit (by Derby Uni.) continue Kedleston Rd towards Quarndon. Turn left at sign for Kedleston and Hulland. Follow Kedleston Rd for 1 mile, entrance on left after the golf course entrance. Parking: Car parking is available for visitors. Entrance and parking is free for National Trust members. Please have your membership card (if applicable) ready to scan. However, the Trust charge for entry to the park and the current cost is £8.00 per person. The Entrance gate on Kedleston Road is locked at 5pm. Sat Nav: The best postcode to use on a SatNav to reach the main entrance is DE22 5JD. The postal address postcode will not get you to the main entrance.
