Overview

PLEASE NOTE EARLIER START TIME FOR THIS WALK 13.00

This walk explores the lovely and historic Killerton estate, which may be starting to change to Autumn colours. We follow the public footpath that passes close in front of the NT Killerton House and garden and then onto the wider estate passing through both farm and woodland.

We pass by the historic Columbjohn chapel and along the Culm Valley, passing  the ancient  Ellerhayes Bridge. There is a gentle climb up to The Plains. We then pass Deodor Glen and, coming out of the woodland, should have distant views to Dartmoor.

There may be livestock in the fields and dogs will have to be on leads.

There is a cafe close to the car park, open to all, which is open 10 am to 4.30 for those wanting lunch before the walk or a drink afterwards.
