Overview

From Bowden Bridge Car Park we go left and make our way to the end of Kinder Road and head towards White Brow passing Kinder Reservoir on our right. From the end of the reservoir, we start to ascend William Clough, a shallow ravine fed by numerous Fords. At the top of the Clough, we turn right and complete our ascent up to the the Kinder scout area and on to Sandy Heys (624m). From here we continue on the path to Kinder Downfall where we cross the feed to the waterfall, change direction Southwards heading for Kinder Low (633m), passing Red Brook and Cluther Rocks on our way. At this point we start our descent past Edale Rocks and on to Edale Cross where we head West with Oaken Clough below us to our left and Kinderlow End above us to our right. At Coldwell Clough we follow the river Sett for a while before heading west to Stones House and Elle Bank and back to the campsite and the Sportsman Inn if thirsty.
