Overview

A leisurely winter walk through the woodland to the north of Scone.  The route takes in Brooniehill & Newlands Plantations, skirts the margin of the woods by Perth Airport and then enters Muirward Wood.  After visiting the 'King of the Forest' (the Scots Pine with the largest recorded girth in the UK), we continue past Herdhill to Langedge Wood and Highfield Plantation to cross New Kingsway by way of the Green Bridge with its mural and sculpture. We return by skirting the new Spoutwells housing complex to return to the Park & Ride.
