Overview

Join us on this 8 mile circular from Knighton. We’ll be heading towards the interesting Stanage Castle, after which we’ll walk towards Stowe, crossing the River Teme and the Heart of Wales railway line. From Stowe we make our way to Kinsey Wood and back to Knighton.

Some town and lane walking. Quite a bit of farmland, and some woodland. We cross the busy A4113 twice, so care needed at these points. Refreshments may be possible after the walk at a cafe or pub if wishes. There used to be public conveniences at the carpark but these now seem permanently closed.

We’ll be starting from the large carpark by Knighton community hall. This is a pay & display carpark, £5 for the day. If parking elsewhere please ensure you arrive at the start carpark in time to leave at 10am.
