We are the Southwold (Yate) Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Cam Station, we join the Lantern Way as it wends its way on footpaths and lanes towards Uley. The route will take us through many villages and hamlets. Once we get towards Betty Peglar's Tump and Uley, the terrain becomes more hilly. After lunch at Uley, we set off over Cam Long Down towards Dursley where we rejoin the Lantern Way towards the finish at Cam Station.
The route provides a varied mx of scenery, with lots of views, particularly from Cam Long Down.
There are no public toilets on the route, but there is a shop and cafe in Coaley (open till 12 on Sundays)pub near the lunch stop.
Bring food and drink for the day.
Parking at Cam Station is free.
