We ascend (steeply) from Shoreham Station and emerge from the woods to the full glory of the lavender fields at Castle Farm, where we can pick up a coffee. We meander beside the River Darent past Lullingstone Castle, World Garden and Roman Villa before entering the ancient woodland of Lullingstone Park and Golf Course. We pick up the Samuel Palmer Trail to return to Shoreham, with a possibility of refreshments at the eponymous pub.
Please bring a picnic and plenty of water.
Shoreham Station Car Park (free). Park considerately in Station Road or come by train. Please car share if possible.
