Overview

Footpaths, woodland trails and across fields to enjoy the bluebells and views.  There are a number of stiles.

We start with a short walk along the road before turning in a southerly direction to the northern edge of Scarth Wood. We then head east towards Swainby and beyond to Whorl Hill wood for bluebells. The return is across fields with good views of the remains of the Castle gatehouse and Whorlton church before returning to the layby via Swainby, Back Lane and the main road.
