Since trifold went out and following various recess this has changed and is no longer from Yarrow Kirk.
The walk starts with a short climb up from the hall along the Southern Upland Way to forest tracks which wind slowly upwards and then out into open countryside with far reaching views. Then down into Glengaber and up the other side of the valley to the cairn on top of the hill before returning back to Traquair on the far side with great views. Terrain is a mix of forest paths, grassy ones and deep heather with the potential for boggy areas if we have further rain.
Circular walk, grade B+, moderate. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
