Overview

An undulating, moderate to brisk paced, 10 mile South Downs walk. Drop out possible after 6 miles*.

Route: Lewes – Kingston – Rodmell – Telscombe – Saltdean. 

Lunch Stop: in Rodmell, after 5 miles ‐ Pub lunch at ‘The Abergavenny Arms’  ‐ or picnic nearby. 

Drop-out point: Southease Station ‐ 1 mile from the lunchtime pub. 

Meet at Lewes Station at 10.53.

Travel: Victoria 09.46/Clapham Junction 09.53/East Croydon 10.02 ‐ Ore service - arr Lewes at 10:53.

Ticket/Fare: Buy Off-Peak Day Return to Brighton. Freedom Pass buy from East Croydon.

Finish: Saltdean for frequent coastal buses into Brighton ‐ or walk an additional 4 miles along the coast and up into Brighton town to the station.
