We are the Ramblers group for eastern Carmarthenshire. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Explore with us this enchanting limestone terrain below Tair Carn. Sunk in one of the dry valleys, one can mistakenly believe it the Derbyshire Dales, whilst perched on one of many outcrops, the vista impresses. Perched on its rocky pedestal, the majesty of Carreg Cennen Castle floats above the Valley to the north, whilst the bulk of The Black Mountain dominates the view south, now blacker than ever since the recent wildfires.
Set your gait free and lengthen your stride on the wonderful dry springy turf: lolloping optional.
Easy walking on gentle slopes and dry springy turf, with the occasional boulder to trip over.
Lambing season so no dogs except assistance dogs.

Mountain road skirting northern flank of Black Mountain below Tair Carn Isaf. Park on grass verge alongside dry stone wall adjacent to stile (to Eye of the Loughor).
