A linear walk on the south side of the scenic Mawddach estuary. From the start point near Capel seion bus stop the walk rises sharply through woodland alongside the scenic Arthog waterfalls to emerge across the packhorse bridge at Llys Bradwen & on through fields to the very scenic Cregennen lakes. A sharp ascent with some easy scrambling brings the route to the ridge of Pared y Cefn Hir with more great views of the estuary & the Cadair Idris ridge ( a lower level alternative is available). From the ridge the path descends back down to the lower level route & down through woodland to join the Mawddach trail just before Penmaenpool & thence onward to Dolgellau.
Initial T2 bus from stand 4 at Aberystwyth dept at 0735 arr Dolgellau 0855 for the 0903 G21 bus to Arthog. For the return bus from Dolgellau to Aberystwyth the T2 buses dept at 1502 & 1702.
