Linear 9.5 mile Walk following the Thames Path starting at Chiswick Mainline Train Station and ending at Battersea Park, Chelsea Gate. There is no pub but 2 cafe stops.
Meet at 11am Chiswick Mainline Train Station car park. There is a train which leaves Waterloo Mainline Train Station at 10:22 arriving Chiswick Mainline Train Station at 10:47. At Chiswick Mainline Train Station proceed over the footbridge to meet in the station car park.
First café/toilet stop is at Chiswick House for 20 minutes 11:10 - 11:30.
Following the Thames path on the north side of the river we arrive at Fulham Palace (free admission) for lunch where there are plenty of picnic benches in the gardens. In addition there are two available cafes; Fulham Palace Cafe and The Teahouse (just outside the Palace).
After lunch we cross the river and follow the Thames Path on the south side of the river to Battersea Park. We walk through Battersea Park to Chelsea Gate where the walk ends. For onward journeys buses to Victoria Mainline Station are available on Queenstown Road or there is an underground station at Battersea Power Station.
