We are the Balerno Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is an 8 mile C walk Starting at Linlithgow Canal Centre, the walk follows part of the River Avon heritage trail and part of the John Muir Way, and explores the Avon Aqueduct and Muiravonside country park, before returning via the river Avon heritage trail to Linlithgow via the loch.

In Linlithgow park and meet at Regent car park.
Driving directions: There are various possible routes including via the M9, M8 and also via Newbridge and Kirkliston. These directions are for the M9 only: take the M8 from Edinburgh and then the M9 when it splits. Leave the M9 at J3 taking the A803 following signs for Linlithgow. The Regent Square car park is on the left hand side off Blackness Road/ A803, before you come to the High Street. You will see the Regent Centre at the corner and the railway line at the back. Park in the long stay section at the left hand side
