The route is along the canal towards the mills at Slade, cross canal towards a woodland path to Halifax Road and cross hillside towards Lydgate, bridleway and paths towards Whittaker hamlet, down towards visitors centre and back to start via Cleggs Wood and Ealees. Easy 5 mile walk, a couple of stiles, a short hill climb and some nice views. Mainly good paths, may be some muddy patches here and there.
Please note that dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on our walks.
