Overview

A mixture of town walking through Lewes and paths and tracks, mostly very good,  up onto the Downs .  We take in Blackcap and Mount Harry  and then descent to Offham village for our picnic lunch at the Church.  We ascent back over the Offham chalk pits on our way back into Lewes .  Inevitably, a  fair amount of climbing.

No mud when pre-walked, a couple of steep slopes, one on slippery chalk, poles useful.  Very few stiles.
